Tour Talk with PROTOCONCEPT - VOL.17
This week I was in Belmont, Michigan for the LPGA Meijer Classic. Blythefield Country Club is the host course and has been since 2014. The field this week is very strong considering that next week is the KMPG Women's PGA Championship in Frisco, TX. Instead of taking the week off, 13 of the top 25 players on the Rolex World Rankings are in this field in addition to five past winners of this event.
Blythefield opened in 1929 and is a very traditional track with small greens and well-placed bunkers. It is one of the shortest courses played on the LPGA at 6,556 yards so look for scores to be low unless the weather turns bad this week. Windy conditions can make for real trouble with small greens being hard to hit when the wind is blowing 20 to 30 mph like was earlier this week.

PROTOCONCEPT will have two players in the field this week, Haeji Kang and Jodi Shadoff.
Haeji arrived late to the event after having a mishap driving with her family from her home in Florida to Michigan. Somewhere in Ohio in the middle of the night, a deer jumped in front of their car causing an accident. Luckily, no one was hurt and after arranging for another vehicle they were able to continue the journey and arrived safely. She decided to rest and spent her time on the putting green yesterday instead of hitting balls.

.Jodi is very happy with new C05 TP's and continues to play well with them. She worked on a new driver this week and hopefully will find the fairway more consistently which should help her score better.
Good luck to both Haeji and Jodi this week!
Next week - Back out on the Korn Ferry for the Wichita Open at Crestview C.C. in Wichita, Kansas
