Tour Talk with PROTOCONCEPT - VOL.16
My travels this week took me to Greer, South Carolina for the Korn Ferry BMW Charity Pro-Am. The event is held at two courses, Thornblade Club and Carolina Country Club. The BMW Charity Pro-Am is in its 33rd year with Thornblade being the host course for the past 17 years.
A few of the many notable celebrities in this year's event are: NFL quarterbacks Ryan Leaf and Vince Young, two-time Olympic winner Jagger Eaton, and actors Ross Butler and Brian Baumgartner.
The sponsor's exemption this week is six-time PGA Tour winner Bill Haas, who will join 19 other winners for a combined 43 PGA Tour wins.
In addition, this will be the first event for 7 of the top 10 finishers from the 2025 PGA Tour University. These guys worked all year to earn their spots on the Korn Ferry Tour in hopes of turning those starts into PGA Tour cards by the end of the season.

Dan McCarthy played well at the UNC Health Championship in Raleigh, NC last week. He finished in sixth place for his best finish this year. If you remember from an earlier report, I had built him a C01TB ic six iron to test. As it turns out, he did put it in the bag last week! After such a good week, he wasn't in need of any further adjustments to his sticks. Good Luck Dan, play well!

The PROTOCONCEPT bag drew the attention of new players as well as amateurs and celebrities. Lots of questions asked and answered over the three days. It always makes me smile when I see the look on peoples faces when they pull a club out of the bag, set it down, and go "wow these look good! What are they?" I love those moments; it is always fun to see their reactions to our products.
Next week - LPGA Meijer Classic in Grand Rapids Michigan
