Tour Talk with PROTOCONCEPT - VOL.12

I feel incredibly lucky to travel regularly and explore various parts of the country representing PROTOCONCEPT GOLF and this week has bee nothing short of extraordinary. This week's LPGA Tour event, the Mizuho Americas Open, was held at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey. A parkland links course with striking views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Manhattan Skyline.

The event is hosted by Michelle Wie West and it features 120 LPGA players competing alongside 24 junior girls from the AJGA, giving these young players a chance to see what it is like to compete at the highest level. Liberty National has hosted several FedEx Cup Playoff events as well as PGA Presidents Cup event. Mizuho recently announced a 5 year extension of this event with 3 of those years being held here at Liberty National.

The weather was nasty and didn't cooperate with us this week as rain and wind were front and center on Monday and Tuesday. Players spent most of their practice time on the course when weather permitted. I did an iron fitting with a potential new PROTOCONCEPT GOLF ambassador. I will be building a set of C05TP 5-PW for her this week so she can test them during her off week. She was very excited by the soft feel and better ball flight she saw with our irons compared to her current clubs. The fitting proved helpful as she found a shaft that felt and performed better than her current one as well.

In addition to our team of PROTOCONCEPT GOLF players, one of the 24 top AJGA players is a supporter of our brand and products. Nikki Oh, from Southern California, plays our C05TP 6-PW. She is a wonderful young lady and I hope she has a great experience this week.
