Tour Report with PROTOCONCEPT - VOL.32
OMG, nice weather...finally!
This week's PGA Korn Ferry Event, the LECOM Suncoast Classic, is held in Lakewood Ranch, Florida at the beautiful Lakewood National Golf Club. This Arnold Palmer designed course is in pristine condition again this year. Kudos to the grounds crew. For a club that has between 3 and 4 thousand members who play over 55,000 rounds a year, I don't think it could be in better shape.

Monday afternoon I was approached by a former PGA Tour professional who was looking to replace his PXG 2 iron with something more versatile and forgiving. I built him a C01.5 #3 bent from 19 degrees to 17 degrees. That is one of the advantages of our forged irons, they can be bent to accommodate players needs. He was extremely happy with the outcome and took it on the course for testing. Tuesday morning, he came to me and asked if I would build him a 4 iron to replace his current one. He was looking to have the same specs as his PXG thinking ours would give him better launch and forgiveness. We will have to see if that one finds its way into the bag this week as well.

In addition, I received great feedback about our C01 TB irons from another former PGA Tour professional. He is currently using Mizuno irons and immediately saw the quality in our product. After hitting a few shots, he commented about how impressed he was with the way it felt and performed. Maybe a future ambassador...let's hope so.

Our new bag had everyone stopping by to comment of how great it looked. That opened up a lot of conversations about PROTOCONCEPT in general. It may even be the reason for building the C01.5 3 and 4 iron I mentioned earlier. Who knows.
Up Next: LPGA JM Eagle LA Championship in Los Angeles, CA.
