The data is based on 3 testers hitting 5 shots each. All swing speeds demonstrated outstanding ball speeds and marked smash factors of around 1.50. In addition, testers with high swing speed marked strong trajectories with lower spin. The slower swing speed tester slightly increased spin and improved carry. All three tester commented on the driver’s ease to hit and great feel, as well as pointed out how their swing speeds actually improved.

Four proprietary technologies are incorporated into a single cup face to expand area with stable and high rebound. The driver delivers a pleasant feel and powerful performance, all while providing bounce and capturing the ball.
C01D DRIVER Technology
The C01D is manufactured by a forging plant boasting the world’s best technology. The company had been reluctant to produce woods in recent years, but the C01D was born out of resonance with PROTO CONCEPT’s idea of “incorporating all possible functions, materials, and techniques” in low-volume production.
The forged cup face QUATTRO FORGED FACE engineered with patented technology is crafted with extraordinary technology that cannot be imitated by any other. Complex wall thickness according to designed value is attained from high-strength titanium round bars in a single forging process. No margin was taken for the repulsion coefficient, allowing the product to be made with high repulsion performance.

#1. Forging with heat compression
"Forging with heat compression" is PROTOCONCEPT's innovative technology for forging from round titanium rods.
By generating a "forged line" of titanium, which cannot be achieved by ordinary pressing methods, and by increasing the compression rate in the center of the face, the structure is forged more precisely, creating unprecedented feel and rebound.
To be frank, we were hesitant on developing drivers when we launched PROTOCONCEPT
Many major global companies put in significant R&D budgets and human resources for drivers these days to compete their performances. We felt it was reckless to go against these giants.
Our encounter with a Japanese manufacturer that possesses globally unmatched and exceptional forging technology, however, overturned such thought. They inspired us to create an unprecedented driver through pairing their innovative technology and our PROTOCONCEPT idea of awakening golfers’ senses.
And that is how the C01D driver was crafted.
