Tour Report with PROTOCONCEPT - VOL.30

Welcome Back. Happy New Year! Nice to see you, how was your off season? 

These phrases were heard, and said, many times this week as Reps and players got their first chance to see each other for the 2026 season. 

The LPGA Fortinet Founders Cup is the first event in the US each season. This year the event is being held at the beautiful Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club in Menlo Park, California. Just south of San Francisco, in the bay area, the location couldn't be better as the weather promises to be warm and dry, unlike most of the US right now. Although the course has been around since 1962, it went through a major renovation in 2023 and is in fantastic condition for this tournament. Hilly and tree lined, accuracy off the tee will be paramount this week. The course is not long, playing around 6.400 yards, but the greens are small and undulating. There could be some low scores for those that hit it straight and putt well. 

Something exciting happened during the off season, PROTOCONCEPT was able to sign Jodi Ewart Shadoff as a brand ambassador! Jodi has been using our C03TC irons since early last year and was excited to join our team. I am looking forward to continuing to work with Jodi and hope we can do good things in 2026. 

Work this week was checking in with Jodi and our two other supporters to be sure everything was "good to go". Fresh supplies of soft goods and touching base on upcoming needs as the season progresses is always important to players early in the season. In addition, a player tried our wedges and like them. She will be testing them for the next couple weeks and I will follow up when I see her in Los Angeles at the JM Eagle Event.
