Tour Report with PROTOCONCEPT - VOL.54
Where has the year gone? This is my last Korn Ferry Tour event of 2026.
This week is the final week of the four- event Korn Ferry Tour Finals, the Tour Championship.
The Federal Club in Glen Allen Virginia is the host of this event for the first time. The 7,073-yard par 71 course was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 2007.

Although it is a newer course by age, you wouldn’t know it by looking at it. The course was cut out of an area that has tall pine trees, so they line the fairways, making it appear as if it has been here for many years.
I was told that the type of pine trees that grow in this area were used for making ship masts. These trees grow extremely tall and very straight making them perfect for that task.

The top 60 players are here this week attempting to finish the week in one of the top 20 spots on the points list. If they do, they will earn their 2027 PGA Tour card.
This is an important year to earn that card with the uncertainty of the upcoming changes to the PGA Tour in 2028.
Already being a PGA Tour member will make it easier to retain that card compared to the players in 2027 that will be trying to earn those cards. As of now, only 10 cards will be available next year from the Korn Ferry Tour instead of 20.

There isn’t much to report concerning player interactions again this week.
Mitchell Meissner had not decided if he will have our C01.5TH Forged Hybrid Iron #3 hybrid in the bag this week. Being a new venue, he hadn’t had not played the course enough to make that decision.
It could be a round-by-round decision based on wind and wetness conditions.
Up Next: LPGA Annika and then the LPGA CME the week after. Both are in November.
